About George West Education Foundation
Our Mission
The GWEF is committed to raise contributions and gifts that will supplement existing school revenues and create a perpetual source of funds that will promote educational excellence within the George West Independent School District. These gifts will be distributed back to our community to enhance the educational opportunities for our children.
GWEF was founded in the fall of 2012 and is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) entity.
About Us
We are committed to our community and will always keep the educational opportunities for our children as the utmost priority of this organization. We believe that George West is the best community in which to rear our children and that we can and should instill in them a sense of pride and respect in this community.
Our Team
The GWEF is governed by a volunteer board of trustees through the rules set in bylaws. The board members are responsible for selecting projects and dispensing funds. The Board of Trustees operates independently, and has no affiliation with the GW School Board or the GWISD.
